As an international school in Trondheim, we are home to 200 students (aged 6 to 16) and 40 staff — a community representing different nations. What'S HAPPENING
Year 7 did brilliantly with their interpretation of a Cubist self portrait. Some took their work in more abstract directions while others drew on the African influences that first inspired Picasso. Along the way, they have researched the movement, generated a ranges of ideas and made a collage as well as made their final painting. They are currently evaluating their hard work.

In MYP9 Science students have been investigating carbon chemistry. As part of this learning they have been exploring the conceptual statement - We can investigate the world using models that help us understand form and function. Etidal and Ella H have created this short video explaining the chemical reaction that is the combustion of ethane.
In MYP Design the students explore a number of different ideas before they select their best idea. The students in MYP10 are exploring how to reuse material to create a useful object.
MYP 7 have been analysing cubist paintings to understand the techniques. It will be great to see how they can apply this new understanding to their own work.
Recently the MYP students were lucky to experience and explore new activities offered in Trondheim. We had a number of local and university clubs come and allow our students to enjoy a variety of sports and activities. Some they may not have experienced before. These activities included Orienteering #nidarostok, Judo #trondheimjudokwai, Chess #ntnuisjakk, Spikeball #ntnuiroundnet, Cricket #ntnuicricket, Lacrosse #ntnuilacrosse and Floorball #midtnorgebandyregion. This was a great event and was enjoyed by all the students even if the weather was not the best. Thanks to all the clubs that gave their time and allowed us to connect to the local community in such a fun way.
