Most classes are presently full for school year 2009-2010. We do have a few available spaces in the MYP (Yr8, Yr9 and Yr10). Applications are being accepted in the event of openings that occur during the school year. Please make contact if you are interested for the next school year. Any students who are not admitted because the class is full, will be placed on the waiting list unless the parents withdraw the application. These students will be contacted if there is a vacancy to be filled. Applications for school year 2010/11 are due by April 1, 2010.
The pre-school caters for children aged 3-6, our primary programme is for children aged 6- 12 and finally there is the secondary education for 13-16 year old students. There is limited capacity as our maximum number of students at school is 200. We try to keep class sizes as small to cater for individual needs. Our pre-school can take up to 40 students. The preschool is full for this school year, and applications will be registered on our waiting list. We accept applications for 2010/11.

Trondheim International School is open to all applicants and admission is accepted on a first-come-first-served basis giving preference to some students according to the criteria set out below. We priotise the applications according to the set criteria in this strict order:
- students with English as a native, spoken language
- For school admission: students moving up from THIS Barnehage to 1st grade
- children of international families
- siblings of students at THIS or THIS Barnehage
- children of staff
- by date of receipt of application
We currently have a good mix of children from the local community and students with an international background. The fees are currently:
- NOK 1830,- per month at the primary school. This includes tuition and 1 meal plus a fruit snack per day.
- After School Care (SFO) for students 1st to 4th grade primary school NOK 1430,- plus food NOK 200,- per month
- NOK 2330,- in tuition per month for pre-school plus food NOK 500,- per month. This includes tuition and 3 meals per day incl. allowance for field trips
For preschool: In addition to filing an application with THIS Barnehage note that you would also need to file an application with Trondheim Kommune (municipality). Applications must be received by Trondheim Kommune, Barnehageservice between 1st of Jan - 1st of Feb for children transferring from other Trondheim preschools and by the 1st of Jan - 1st of March for all other applicants. This can be done online on www.trondheim.kommune.no
